  • £28,000 – £30,000 pa + Gratuity
  • 4 days on, 3 days off

In a Nutshell

We are looking for a dynamic, rosette standard Sous Chef to work with the Head Chef in this busy 60 cover hotel brasserie based in 40 bedroomed independent hotel with a fantastic reputation.

Responsibilities of the Sous Chef

  • As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Help create and develop new menu items, ensuring high quality and consistency
  • Supervise and train hotel kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  •  Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain a clean and organized hotel kitchen environment
  • Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste
  • Support the Head Chef in creating schedules and managing labor costs for the hotel kitchen

Qualifications for the Sous Chef

  • Previous experience working at rosette level using fresh food
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
